Psocoptera
Psocopterans are small, soft-bodied insects with long, threadlike antennae and large compound eyes. Outdoor species, called barklice, live on bark, foliage, and lichens and feed on fungi and algae, often in dense aggregations under thin webs of silk produced from the labium. Indoor species, called booklice, feed on the molds that grow on damp paper, glue, and starch, and they sometimes appear in old book bindings or stored grain.
